COLOR COUNTRY: Even though we live on the southern edge of the Great Basin, surrounded by scenes suitable for western movie sets (and many films were shot here), we never take the drama of the country for granted. Whether driving on back roads or shooting reference photos, the mystery and ghosts of the past seem to be with us.
SNOW CANYON" is a clear example of why this area is know as "Color Country". When the sun lowers in late afternoon, the reflected light from the rocks bounces off the walls and sets the scene aflame. Snow is the name of the original settler--not a comment on the weather!
"CANYON WATER" depicts the view from the bottom of Canyon De
Chelly a sacred site in the Navajo reservation in Arizona. You cannot drive your car down into the canyon but you can hire a guide with a jeep to take you on a trip into the ancient past. It would be well worth your time!
