Strolling along the walkways under the arches of Pont Neuf, called the
new bridge but in fact it is the oldest bridge, it is easy to fall
under the spell of Paris.

In our travels, we have not been drawn to large cities. They have their
famous sights and dramatic histories. But, sit on a bench on the Ille
de la Cite, with a good book, and listen to the Seine lapping against
the barges along the opposite bank and you will see why all those
composers and writers have found inspiration in Paris.
For you who have been there, I hope this painting will recapture some
of the magic.
